Travel Theme: Neutral

Ailsa has challenged us to bin the brash brightness of colour and concentrate on the detail of Neutral.

Here’s an intricate stone floor of hard landscape at the reception to Huntington Arboretum in Los Angeles. The stones and their relation to sunlight give much fascinating detail.

The arboretum is arranged in sections to show the variety of climatic zones in the USA; quite some enterprise and beautifully executed. My favourite is the arid, challenging landscapes of South Easter California,  Arizona, New Mexico and Nevada comprising an amazing number of flowers and different succulents, including classic cowboy cactii.

Go to the Huntington if you get the chance and be amazed at the vast Japanese Garden and beautiful bonsai specimens.

Absolutely stunning Tony, and I’d like the arid zone best too for certain.
