Ailsa’s calling for decoration in the current post.
A bit clichéd I know but there’s little to compare with the carved surfaces of temples in India when it comes to decoration. The observer can only marvel at the complexity and sheer skill employed on the stone walls of this temple in Udaipur, Rajasthan. There are thousands upon thousands of equally impressive temples throughout India, a country which has a particular fascination for decoration.
By contrast I add a photo of a decorative cottage captured whist riding my bike on this beautiful sunning morning at Little Comberton Worcestershire. The black timbers of the wooden frame and the flamboyant thatch roof appear to be decorative.

Chuckling at Gilly’s comment! 🙂 I actually prefer the stark, wood and stone temples of the West Coast, particularly those in Kerala and Mangalore, but I am biased 🙂
Madhu im going to find some images of these temples you speak about. Thanks
