Brown is an interesting theme; the earth is predominantly brown and although I take photographs of all sorts of things, I don’t deliberately photograph ‘brown’ yet I have lots of brown photos. Here’s just three from Down Under:
On the brown Murray River at Mildura are a number of beautiful, elegant Victorian paddle steamers
At an abandoned Gold Mine in Swifts Creek, Victoria this truck is slowly returning to the brown earth.
A gorgeous brown rock at Long Beach, Bateman’s Bat NSW
Brown is probably the predominant colour in my gallery! The truck is my pick too 🙂

The paddle boat is lovely, did you go on it?
Hi Gilly! I spent a very lazy day up the Murray River with a paddle steamer of the same vintage, recently restored but as yet not converted from wood fire propulsion to evil diesel. She was a deep mahogany colour. Bird watching was spectacular…
Love the decaying truck. It’s hard to imagine what it looked like when it was new.
Its hard to think of something like this being brand new. Must have been some one’s pride and joy even if it came second hand from the military, perhaps. It’s got bags more character now…
You’re right about that. Much more photogenic now. 🙂
