Where’s My Backpack: Tilted

Where's My Backpack: Tilted

This neglected narrow boat was lifted and deposited on the Quay by the winter floods on the Back Avon in Tewkesbury.
It looks precarious but its tilted resting is quite secure.
Legal wrangles and contested responsibility leave the old craft intact but high and dry.
Perhaps the winter floods of 2013 will remove it and deposit it further downstream

Great photo for the challenge. That boat doesn’t look very happy there. 😦

    Hi Gilly
I suspect the narrow boat will exit on a low loader via a telescopic crane.
Tewkesbury floods every winter and has done since the beginning of time; part of natures endless cycles. It’s the more recent summer floods that cause trouble for us modern people.
Loves you tilted ‘fairy chimneys’ in your post.

Oh are you expecting floods this winter then? I’d like to see the barge back in the water but not if it can only happen because of floods.
