In Sydney Australia, the Queen Victoria Building (QVB). Central court mosaic of this late 19C (1893-1898)Victorian Romanesque masterpiece by George McRae, built as a market building on one city block.
Restored (in part) in the Art Deco style in 1938, threatened with demolition and later restored twice, now a stunning showcase building for the glamour city of Sydney NSW
